Armenian-Korean Cooperation in the Field of Agriculture
Kim Chung Jol , General Director of the Agricultural Management Administration of the Chola Bok State of South Korea, and Kim Syung Gun, paid a two-day visit to Armenia in order to develop Armenian-Korean cooperation in the field of agriculture.
The first meeting took place at Armenian National Agrarian University, where, during a joint conference issues related to agriculture in both countries were discussed. The conference was headed by Rector of Armenian National Agrarian University Arshaluys Tarverdyan, who highlighted the importance of closer cooperation between the two countries within the framework of agriculture, noting that joint works can give positive results.
Agrarian scientists from both countries presented their country's agricultural problems and their possible solutions. The Armenian scholars touched upon our country's crop cultivation, vegetable growing, livestock breeding, veterinary medicine and a number of other topics, as well as their successes in these areas.
After the reports of Agrarian University scientists guests noticed that their country also had such problems. In Armenia, as well as around the world, there is a need for identical ways for the development of agriculture. Mr. Kan expressed a wish to take steps in the direction of exchange programs for scientists and lecturers, and also for farmers. In response to this Rector A. Tarverdyan promised to analyze the speeches and to raise the issue in which direction to cooperate exactly.
