Agribusiness Teaching Center

Director
Urutyan Vardan

The Agribusiness Teaching Center of Armenian National  Agrarian University was established in 2000 through the collaborative effort of the Armenian National Agrarian University (ANAU), Texas A&M University and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Marketing Assistance Project (active in Armenia in 1992-2005).
The ATC provides agribusiness education to achieve sustainable entrepreneurship in the food and agriculture sectors in Armenia and Georgia. It prepares agribusiness specialists with broad economic, marketing, and managerial views, up-to-date communication skills, and excellent knowledge of English.
About 30 students enter the ATC each year, 6-8 of them– from the Republic of Georgia. Instructors are Armenian and American specialists with graduate degrees from known U.S. and European universities. The two-year and three-month curriculum is western-structured, based on the undergraduate degree agricultural economics curriculum of Texas A&M. Courses are taught in English by Armenian and American instructors. Graduates receive a State Diploma from the Armenian National Agrarian University (Georgian students – from the Georgian State Agrarian University, Shota Rustaveli State University and Georgian State University of Subtropical Agriculture) and a Certificate from Texas A&M.
